Overview

Family Weekend invites students and their families to slow down, experience campus life, and spend meaningful time together. From exploring campus landmarks to embracing school spirit, the weekend offers something for everyone.

This brand kit provides language, graphics, and other marketing resources to help the UGA community celebrate Family Weekend and welcome loved ones to campus.

Family Weekend At A Glance

Who: All UGA students, families, and supporters

Where: University of Georgia campus, Athens, GA

How: Register online at families.uga.edu/family-weekend to join the fun all weekend long. Pre-registration is required.

When: November 6–9, 2025 (Thursday–Sunday)

Why: To connect families with campus life, create lasting memories, and celebrate beloved UGA traditions.

MESSAGING

Messaging should be welcoming and family-oriented, aligning with the tone of the event. All messaging should reflect our values of community, tradition, and belonging. Taglines help capture the spirit of the event and should remain consistent across platforms to strengthen recognition and connection.

Promo Marks

The promotional mark serves as the primary visual identifier for Family Weekend. To maintain the integrity of the University of Georgia brand, this mark should not replace any official UGA logo. Consistent and proper usage is essential to ensure recognizability and reinforce the event’s identity. As such, no modifications to the mark are permitted.

Digital Media

We’ve created a series of digital graphics designed to help promote Family Weekend across a variety of platforms. These assets are available for use in emails, social media, and other digital communications to help spread the word and celebrate the UGA family.

We’ve created a collection of print-ready materials to help promote Family Weekend in physical spaces across campus and beyond. These assets are designed to create a warm, inviting atmosphere and help make this a special and memorable weekend for every member of the UGA family.

Photography

We’ve curated a selection of images capturing special moments between students and their families. Feel free to use these photos to support your promotional and storytelling efforts.

TYPOGRAPHY

Typography is a powerful brand tool that can add visual meaning to what we communicate. Typography should remain consistent across media to strengthen brand recognition.

Oswald

Oswald is our primary sans-serif family and works best for headlines, subheads, and infographics. For headlines and subheads, we recommend using the Medium weight with all-caps. As for large bodies of text, we recommend using the Light variant with regular capitalization rules.

Lazydog is our script font and is best used for accents, special highlights, or expressive headers. It adds a personal, handwritten feel that brings warmth and character to our materials. We recommend using Lazydog sparingly to maintain legibility and is ideal for short phrases, quotes, or callouts.
