Family Weekend is your invitation to press pause, reconnect, and savor quality family time together. Whether you’re enjoying our food truck round up, touring athletic venues, or playing games, this weekend is designed for you and your family to laugh, eat good food, and make unforgettable memories.

Send your student or anyone else in your party to pick up and collect your welcome kit which includes event lanyards, nametags, and other Family Weekend swag. Anyone arriving after 9PM can pick up their welcome kit Friday morning.

Need an easy dinner after check-in? Food trucks from around town will be ready to serve you! Tate Hall dining options will also be available.

UNIVERSITY WELCOME BRUNCH

The University of Georgia wants to officially welcome families to campus with Bulldog spirit, photo opportunities, and remarks from President Morehead, Vice President for Student Affairs – Dr. Michelle Cook, and others. We want to honor and celebrate our student supporters, so this event is for family members only! You will meet up with your student right after for the rest of the weekend!
CAMPUS OPEN HOUSE
Exact times may vary between 12 – 6PM | Locations Vary
During this time our academic units, student organizations, and other campus departments will host events for their students and their families. Events may be an open house, faculty meet & greet, guest lecture, etc so that you have the chance to experience and interact with the faculty, staff and student leaders that your Bulldog connects with every day! Some events may be invite only and information will be shared directly from those departments or your student. We will also post event details here as we learn more.

Tickets for this game are included in your registration! Join your student to cheer on the Bulldogs as they take on the Ole Miss Rebels!

UGA Engagement, Leadership, and Service invites you to Movies at Tate – an evening at the movies, on campus! This signature event that they host for students is available for you to join and experience. Read more about Movies at Tate here.

V.I.B. ATHLETIC
TOUR & BRUNCH
Time TBA | Sanford Stadium – West End Zone
For our families who registered for our VIB (“Very Important Bulldog”) package. This event will be an opportunity for our biggest bulldog fan to get special access to athletic venues. There will be a light brunch, tour of the game day locker room, and more! Menu will be shared soon.

PARTY
It may be an away game, but we are bringing the game to you! Learn about UGA athletic traditions in the Family Fun Zone, enjoy a BBQ buffet, and get ready to watch the Bulldog vs Bulldog matchup! Doors open 30 minutes before kickoff.

FREE TIME
Visit your bulldog’s favorite spots on campus, treat them to something in the bookstore, or explore downtown! Bookstore Hours: 11AM – 5PM

As you prepare for your Family Weekend, we encourage you to download the Welcome to UGA mobile app (used for New Student Orientation), in the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app will contain the schedule for Family Weekend, information on Athens resources, and other useful details for your memorable weekend.
